The difference between real enamel technology and imitation enamel technology

Custom hard enamel badge

Difference one:
Different materials
Real enamel: Commonly used is red copper, which is resistant to high temperatures and contains more than 95% copper. This is because real enamel is made by applying crushed and ground enamel glaze on copper or silver objects and passing it through 850°C. On the surface of high-temperature fired metal, its characteristics are: long-lasting color, which can be guaranteed not to change color for hundreds of years, and the price is relatively expensive.
Imitation enamel: Bronze and zinc alloys are commonly used, because imitation enamel does not have such high requirements for high temperatures. It uses a color paste and the process is similar to real enamel. The surface can be plated with various metal colors such as gold and silver. It is smooth and delicate, giving It gives people a very noble feeling, and the price is cheaper than real enamel. It is the first choice for making mid-to-high-end badges.
Difference two:
different colors
Real enamel: matte gloss, few choices. Real enamel uses natural mineral powder, and the color is limited, which is less than the selected color.
Imitation enamel: high gloss, Pantone color. Imitation enamel uses a color paste, and there are many colors to choose from. If the customer provides a Pantone color number, we can make it.
Difference three:
Different hardness
Real enamel: hard, not easy to be cut or scratched when scraped with hard or sharp objects, so it tends to be collected.
Imitation enamel: soft, easy to cut and scratch when scraped with hard or sharp objects, often used as gifts.
