1. Cleaning of etching parts
After etching, the etching parts should be washed clean in time, and neutralized with diluted neutralizing solution if necessary, because etching liquids are highly corrosive liquids. If it remains on the surface of the etched workpiece, it will cause corrosion damage or discoloration of the etched product in the future, so the washing process is very important and must be taken seriously.
2. Removal of corrosion-resistant protective layer
After the etched parts are cleaned, they should be blown dry, and then the protective coating should be removed by the most effective method. If an organic film is pasted, it can be directly peeled off in pieces; if it is a coating or ink, it can be dissolved and removed with an effective solvent or chemical solution.
3. Surface finishing
The parts after metal etching can be surface finished according to needs and design requirements. If the surface is required to be smooth, electrolytic polishing can be performed. On the one hand, it can completely remove the residues such as anti-corrosion materials, and on the other hand, it can also remove the corrosion products attached to the surface during the etching process. In addition, the brightness of the surface is improved by polishing. If flat or matte is required, matte treatment is used.
4. Surface passivation or coloring For metal etched parts used in engineering, such as etched text or patterns in the inner cavity of plastic molds, the surface needs to be passivated or protected after etching. Because these steel materials or copper, stainless steel, etc. are easy to oxidize and rust. For products used for decoration, coloring or coating treatment is carried out according to the requirements and needs of the product. Coloring treatment mainly uses chemical coloring, electrolytic coloring and other methods to color the etched products, increase the color and effect of decoration, and can be electroplated for decorative coating, or coated with various colored coatings to become colorful decorative parts.
